What is an "uncontested divorce"?

What is an "uncontested divorce"?

A divorce may be considered contested if the parties cannot agree on the division of assets, debt, child custody, parenting time and/or child support.  One party files with the court and then the other party needs to be served and file an answer/response to the court.

What is an "uncontested divorce"?

A divorce is uncontested if both parties agree to the terms of division of assets, debts, child custody, parenting time, and child support.  Both parties agree and sign the documents in one filing to the court.  This saves money and time.
